I first met Jeremy when he happened to be in the Jazz Standard one night when my late client Frank Morgan wasn't feeling well. I asked Jeremy if he could take over for Frank after the first tune and finish the last set. Jeremy generously said yes and Frank was so inspired by his playing that he stayed on the bandstand and played a longer than usual set.
