| HERE'S WHAT SONNY SAYS ABOUT HIS NEW CD: |
| "... I've been blessed to have worked and recorded with some of Jazz's great musicians, such as Miles Davis, Mongo Santamaria, Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones and McCoy Tyner, as well as recordings with many other great musicians, and have recorded many of my own recordings as a leader with major and not-so-major labels. But, I must say I'm most proud of the CD CONTINUUM for many reasons. For one, it's on my own label SOUND REASON. For another, the musicians George Cables, Wayne Dockery, Steve Johns and Steve Berrios gave their all. They are guys I've known for many years. We've played a lot of music together. I think that comes through on the CD as well. I think the selection of tunes are even and mellow. It's a CD where we were trying to be musical. Something that you can listen to again and again. I think and hope you will agree." |
