A past winner of the Downbeat Critics Poll for Rising Star on Flute, Holly rose to prominence touring with the late great bassist Ray Brown.  Holly’s longtime partner in music and life is the wonderful pianist Mike Wofford. preferred accompanist for Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn.  They have an exquisite duo and she also enjoys playing duo with guitarist Bruce Forman.  If you want an all-woman combo, how about Holly with Dena DeRose on piano and vocals, Katie Thiroux on bass, and Tina Raymond on drums?  Also consider Holly’s special alto flute project Low Life, with Mike, bassist John Clayton, and drummer Jeff Hamilton.
